IT Facilities
IT Suite and IT Rooms
The College has over 900 computers for students to use. Open-access computers are available in the Learning Resource Area (LRC), the IT Suite and The Zone. Many classrooms have been converted to IT rooms with full facilities.
The network infrastructure is continually being upgraded to incorporate modern technology and offers students fast and reliable access to our network services. Computers are installed with industry-standard software and applications. A range of specialist applications and packages are available to students across the College to support students in their particular area of study.

Every student is assigned a user account and you can access your work from any PC in the College. You can also access the College network from home.
The College uses online systems to support, monitor and track students’ progress to ensure that the very best learning and support environment is provided. Students also have access to this software to check that they are on target for success.
The College has a virtual learning environment (Moodle) where subject specific resources can be found for each programme of study. This learning environment is available throughout the College and from home, and includes course information, coursework, subject discussion forums, videoed virtual classrooms, interactive games, and revision materials.
Classroom Resources
All classrooms have interactive whiteboards and students have access to a wide range of up-to-date software relevant to their area of study. In addition, investment has been made to provide computers in the majority of classrooms to support students and allow instant access to IT and interactive learning. Specialist software is available to students studying in particular curriculum areas, for example, in maths, ICT, art and media. Many classrooms are also equipped with additional equipment such as electronic voters and visualisers.
