Millions Invested
This year another significant milestone in the modernisation of Sir George Monoux College has been achieved. A superb balance of old and new is evident in what was the former school hall. Most of the historical grammar school panels have been retained and a modern Student Information Centre has been constructed within them with three fully equipped classrooms on a mezzanine floor.

IT Facilities
In addition to those in the LRC, the College has over 300 computers for student use. 100 of these are housed in our new IT Suite and others are in IT rooms around the College.

Sports
The opportunities for sporting activities are on the rise. We offer a variety of sports including football, basketball, netball, cricket, badminton, table tennis and indoor 5-a-side games. Students play both competitively with other colleges throughout England and also for leisure. Friendly practice or matches take place every lunch break and most evenings.

Music
The College has a new purpose-built music department that provides the College with excellent facilities for music. The accommodation, on two floors, includes a large classroom, rehearsal rooms, a recording studio with sound proof room attached, rehearsal practice rooms with pianos, a music technology suite, a steel pan rehearsal room and a grand piano for students preparing for concerts and exam work.
