Introduction to course
If you are considering a career in Marketing, Sales, Finance or Human Resources, then a BTEC course in Business would be ideal for you. You will learn business concepts and skills by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations. In addition, you will acquire work related skills such as confidence, presentation, research skills.
Course Details
The core units are Business Purposes, Business Organisations, Financial Forecasting for Business and People in Organisations. The optional units are Customer Relations in Business, Promoting and Branding in Retail Business, Book-keeping for Business, Managing Personal Finances and Business Enterprise.
Entry Requirements
4 GCSE grades D in academic subjects including English and good reference. Alternatively, a MERIT grade in BTEC Introductory or a relevant vocational area would also be suitable. You may also be required to take a diagnostic test to ensure you are suitable for the course.

Where the course lead
You may progress on to Level 3 BTEC Subsidiary Diploma, Diploma or Extended Diploma in Business. Alternatively students can progress to employment within a business environment.
