Throughout this website you will discover the numerous successes and achievements of Sir George Monoux Sixth Form College. You will also discover the excellent facilities and the systems which operate within the college. It is a fine college which provides excellent opportunities for young people both in terms of preparation for higher education or alternatively for rewarding and challenging employment opportunities. It offers a safe and pleasant environment within which students can study, but does make heavy demands on students both in terms of their conduct and their application to study, in order that they can achieve the success which we all wish to see.
I have the privilege of being Chair of the Corporation of Governors of the College which has responsibility for determining the educational policy and character of the college and to advise the Principal in connection with the management and administration of the college. Governors are drawn from many different walks of life but have one interest in common, namely to further the aims and policies of the college and to achieve as much as possible both in terms of financial resources and educational successes for our students.
Anyone who is passionate about 16 to 19 education and is willing to take on the commitment can apply to join our Governing Body. We regularly consider new applications and when vacancies occur we are happy to welcome new members
